Whispers and Footsteps: A Night at Pueblo Heritage Museum

Case Two – Oct. 9, 2025 In The Shadows Paranormal Investigation

The historic walls of the Pueblo Heritage Museum offered up intriguing paranormal evidence during our Oct. 9th investigation. Our participants experienced remarkable activity, consistently noted across multiple groups throughout the evening.

Photo and Video Evidence:

  • REM-Pod Activation: Consistent triggering indicating proximity of potential spirits.

  • Structured Light Sensor (SLS): Notably captured distinct figures by investigator Kristen.

  • Light Anomaly: Investigator Kristen photographed an intriguing light anomaly in the museum corner.

Audio Capture (EVP):

  • Investigator Sandi clearly documented an EVP of a male voice, distinctly shouting or yelling—a compelling auditory phenomenon.

Notable Witness Observations:

Investigators reported consistent findings across the museum:

  • Several individuals experienced being physically touched or poked.

  • A distinct male voice was audibly heard in the archives room by multiple participants.

  • A remarkable occurrence took place when a ghost app provided the name "Alexis"—the formal name of Lexi, who works at the museum.

  • EMF meters registered frequent spikes throughout the night, signaling notable energetic disturbances.

  • An unusual and chilling experience involved a ghost app interaction by the typewriter exhibit. The app sequentially stated "light," "neck," and "bell" in response to investigator movements and interactions with museum exhibits, producing an uncanny interactive dialogue. Additionally, the app displayed "Dan," which remarkably matched the name of one investigator.

  • A pronounced event occurred near the "Lucky the Horse" exhibit, where a laser grid visibly moved, coinciding with strong EMF readings and audible footsteps near Buddy's photograph. Multiple groups experienced unexplained footsteps on the museum ceiling, particularly near the archive area.

Direct Communication with Hank:

One group specifically targeted communication with the museum's resident ghost, affectionately known as "Hank." Using dowsing rods, the team received confirmation of his presence and learned several key insights:

  • "Hank" confirmed his real name differed from this nickname.

  • He revealed he died in the surrounding neighborhood but clarified he was not murdered.

  • Hank expressed irritation at our intrusion, suggesting our investigation disrupted his personal space. He also indicated multiple spirits were present within the building.

Enhanced Activity in the Railroad Exhibit:

Investigators documented significant phenomena in the southwest railroad exhibit. A heavy chain spontaneously swung without physical intervention, accompanied by pronounced roof footsteps and audible knocking. The ghost app also identified a spirit named "Samuel," who responded directly to investigator questions.

A Personal Encounter:

As the evening concluded, I conducted a final sweep to ensure everyone was gathered. Approaching the archives room, I clearly saw John, the museum director, enter the space. However, upon entering and repeatedly calling out his name, no response came except for an abrupt, loud banging on the roof. It was then I discovered John had been on the opposite end of the museum the entire time—an experience that left me profoundly mystified.

This event underscores that the Pueblo Heritage Museum remains vibrantly active with spectral phenomena, each investigation peeling back another fascinating layer of its hidden history.
