Pueblo Heritage Museum Investigation
The Pueblo Heritage Museum has consistently produced some of the most interesting results documented by In The Shadows Paranormal. Multiple investigation teams have reported similar experiences in the same locations throughout the building, creating recurring patterns that investigators continue to monitor.
During one investigation, several pieces of potential evidence were documented. These included repeated REM-Pod activations, structured light sensor (SLS) figures captured on video, and a light anomaly photographed in one corner of the museum. Investigators also captured an audio recording of what appeared to be a male voice shouting from within the building.
Throughout the evening, numerous guests and investigators reported personal experiences. Several individuals described being touched or lightly poked while exploring different exhibits. In the archives room, multiple groups independently reported hearing a male voice and footsteps above them, despite no one being present on the roof or upper areas at the time.
Communication devices and ghost-hunting applications produced several intriguing responses. One group received the name "Alexis" shortly after discussing a museum staff member known as Lexi. Another pair of investigators experienced a sequence of responses while walking through the exhibits. As they approached a display, the application produced the word "light." Moments later, one participant felt a cold sensation travel down the back of her neck, followed by the application displaying the word "neck." As they moved toward a vintage telephone exhibit, the word "bell" appeared while standing beside a sign instructing visitors to "push for bell."
Additional activity was reported near several exhibits throughout the museum. Investigators observed significant EMF activity near the railroad display in the southwest corner of the building. During one session, a heavy chain began moving while EMF readings simultaneously reached their highest levels. Other groups reported hearing boot-like footsteps near a historic photograph known as "Buddy" and recurring sounds of movement above the archives area.
One team focused on communicating with a spirit known locally as "Hank." Using dowsing rods and a series of yes-or-no questions, investigators concluded that the presence identified itself as Hank, although it indicated that was not its actual name. Responses suggested the individual had died in the neighborhood but had not been murdered. The spirit also appeared to express annoyance at the investigators' presence, implying that they were intruding into its space.
Perhaps one of the most unusual moments of the evening occurred near the conclusion of the investigation. As participants gathered for a final briefing, investigator Gail Conners conducted a walk-through of the museum to ensure all guests had returned. While approaching the archives room, she observed what appeared to be Museum Director John Wendt walking into the room ahead of her.
Believing he had entered moments earlier, Gail followed and called out his name several times. No response was received. Instead, a sudden loud banging sound erupted from above the building. Upon returning to the group, Gail discovered that John had never entered the archives room and had been at the opposite end of the museum with the rest of the participants.
The experience remains one of the few visual anomalies personally witnessed by Gail during an investigation and continues to be among the most memorable moments documented at the Pueblo Heritage Museum.
