The investigation of the cafe proved to be one of the most active and compelling cases undertaken by the team. Throughout the evening, investigators documented numerous intelligent responses through Spirit Box communication, EVP applications, and personal experiences. Several responses appeared directly relevant to questions being asked, creating a highly interactive session.

The building presented distinctly different impressions between levels. The main floor café area felt welcoming and relatively neutral, while the rear library area carried a noticeably heavier atmosphere. During the initial walkthrough, investigators reported seeing a tall, dark shadow figure near the library, and shortly afterward a motion-activated trigger object activated without apparent cause.

The second floor produced the strongest reactions of the evening. Investigators described the area as heavy and oppressive, particularly near a concealed room and adjoining L-shaped hallway. Multiple team members experienced chills, dizziness, headaches, nausea, and an unusual sensation of pressure, as though something was pressing downward from above. Several investigators also independently reported witnessing a dark shadow moving through the area.

A recurring presence identified itself through EVP responses as "Jerry." Communication appeared strongest when individual investigators were alone in the room, particularly team member Chris. When groups entered the space, responses often diminished. Notable EVP responses associated with this area included:

The team observed a pattern suggesting that "Jerry" may have been fearful, hiding from another presence, or reluctant to communicate openly. During a pendulum session, information was received regarding an older spirit identified as "Herbert," who reportedly described himself as performing "night patrol." Team members noted that the atmosphere shifted significantly during discussions involving this presence.

Several investigators also reported auditory experiences. On two separate occasions, a whispered male voice saying "Hey" was heard. One of these incidents was successfully captured during a recording session while investigators conducted card-based communication experiments within the room.

Later in the evening, attention shifted to a former restroom area where investigators detected a strong and unusual odor. The words "stink" and "smell" had previously appeared through EVP applications, adding interest to the discovery. Within the room, a wooden ladder leading into the attic space was located. Shortly thereafter, EVP responses including "go up" and "higher" were received. As investigators prepared to examine the attic access point, another team member reported hearing a whisper instructing her to "go to the bathroom."

Additional unexplained activity occurred near the attic access area. Investigators heard scampering sounds in the hallway and reported sensations of hair being touched or pulled. Throughout the investigation, multiple team members independently experienced touches to the head and hair.

At one stage of the investigation, the team divided into separate groups. While one group conducted questioning in another room, investigators monitoring the Spirit Box repeatedly received the words "demon," "blessed," and "one more." These responses coincided with questions concerning the nature and intentions of the spirits believed to be present.

Later, the team conducted a spiritual circle intended to assist "Jerry" in moving toward the light. During this session, a significant number of responses were received, including:

• Your hair

• Do you know?

• Smell perfume

Additional activity was reported in the kitchen area, where a cabinet door opened twice without an immediately identifiable cause. Attempts to recreate the movement were unsuccessful. Several photographs taken during the evening also revealed anomalies that investigators considered noteworthy.

One particularly intriguing piece of evidence surfaced two months later. While reviewing audio equipment in May 2026, Gail discovered a recording from the cafe investigation on a digital recorder she believed had not been functioning that evening. In the clip, Gail can be heard saying, "I just charged this..." referring to the recorder. Moments later, a distinct voice responds, "It's OK." The recording remains one of the more unusual pieces of audio associated with the investigation.
