Quiet Moment at the St. Nicholas

Some moments don’t feel like much at the time.
Just a conversation…a little laughter…nothing out of the ordinary.
Until later.
We were at the St. Nicholas—just talking, like we often do. Nothing staged. Nothing scripted. Just a real moment with real people in a place that holds a lot of history.
And honestly? A little humor. Because if you can’t laugh while talking about unexplainable things…what are we even doing?
And then there’s Roy…
Earlier that day, I found Roy’s grave marker at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Cripple Creek.
Not as part of an investigation. Not on a tour. Just…one of those moments where something leads you somewhere without much explanation.
You’ll hear about him if you spend time at the St. Nick. His name comes up. His story lingers. He worked as a janitor most of his life, when it was a hospital.
And standing there, at his grave, it shifts something. It stops being just a name…or a story…
It becomes a person.

There’s a GoFundMe page connected to Roy—a reminder that these aren’t just stories from the past. They’re threads that still reach into the present.
And maybe that’s part of what we’re stepping into when we walk into places like the St. Nick.
Not just “activity.” Not just mystery.
But connection.
We didn’t notice everything while we were filming.
And that’s usually how it happens.
Not big, dramatic moments—but something quieter. Something you don’t catch until you go back and look…or listen…a little closer.
The St. Nick has a way of doing that.
What we do isn’t about forcing anything to happen. It’s not about chasing activity or trying to prove something.
It’s about being present in a place with a story…and allowing whatever is there to unfold in its own time.
Sometimes that’s nothing. Sometimes it’s something you can’t quite explain.
We’ll be back at the St. Nick for National Paranormal Day—hosting a small, intimate group for a weekend experience.
Limited rooms. Limited group size.
Not a performance. Not a show.
Just an opportunity to step into the space…and see what unfolds for yourself.

You might notice something you didn’t the first time.
